Hi Alan - I was just posting myself when I saw this, needless to say I has so many qualities - composition, colour, technique……. Great bit of Art work.

This is really good Alan (not surprisingly!).

Really love the colours so vibrant which stand out with the dark shadows and dark outlines Alan.

Like this Alan , a dit different from your usual artwork.

Lovely work, Alan - the mixed media and subtle colours work beautifully.

Makes a great step-by-step demo too! If you aren't already signed up for our emails, be sure to do so soon as this will be sent out next week...

This is just wonderful Alan. I'll be having a read.

Really like this Alan. The composition, tonality and colours and your style shines through.

I like that, I look forward to seeing how it's done.

Looking forward to seeing this in the newsletter Alan. What a gorgeous still-life!

Alan, I can see a convert to Still Life here 😉. Did you have a feast afterwards? I love that pear!

Thanks once again guys… yes Marjorie, I did tuck into them at the end of the session! No convert, I’m working on stuff for the magazine, and it calls for still life!

Looking forward to the article.

Alan, I agree with all the above comments, it’s only a true artist can master anything put before him! Excellent!

An excellent lesson in tone, yes I get it!

Great stuff Tessa, that’s the easy part!

You make it look effortless, your mark making is dynamic but accurate. I also love the muted tones

This looks wonderful, makes me feel like inviting myself to breakfast!

This painting is so masterfully done and absolutely beautiful !

This is superb, I love the tonal quality and the colour palette, and the shadows are to die for!!
