Full of atmosphere Alan! Beautiful !

Just as I like them Alan and your knowledge is amazing

Another smashing print Alan....very moody.

I like it very much Alan. The world isn't totally accurate either. Scientifically we have as much chaos as order. That's exciting! Durham Cathedral lends itself to order but take a close look at it and you soon find chaos.

A Wonderful print Alan.

I love this Alan. Must admit Durham Cathedral is certainly beautiful. I am trying my hardest not to be too accurate because I think it is more interesting. Artistic licence I seem to recall.

Beautiful print, full of energy, Alan.

Yet again a big thank you for your comments, I always strive to keep experimenting with my art, I can't and won't stagnate, it's just not me. Adele, I can and do draw accurately when it is required but l personally don't enjoy looking at laboured and precise work, it leaves me cold. The reason that l mentioned that it was mearly my impression is to avoid silly and pointless comments from a member of our group who generally tends to like to pick up on these points, particularly if it's a northern scene, anyway I'm pleased that you like it.

Your last sentence Alan, I know exactly what you mean and feel the same. We have two prints of Durham on our walls by Geoffrey Lockey. If you haven't seen his work before he is a very good example of the chaos concept. See http://www.geoffreylockey.co.uk/

Absolutely stunning, Alan! And very inspiring. superb piece.

Alan, sorry I nearly missed this one excellent work as ever

Like you Alan I am beginning to find art more exciting when the subject is not so accurately portrayed. I can be a little tight at times - nothing wrong in that of course, but I am trying my best to make things more lively and interesting and it is not easy. It never actually crossed my mind that you perhaps could not draw accurately, but I do know what you mean about certain remarks.

Today's offering, My favourite Cathedral to paint, it's so imposing and powerful against the skyline, not totally accurate, my impression, that is how I want my paintings to be. A4 Fabriano Rossapina paper, Caligo oil based printing inks. Image size 10 x 6in.
