Your skies are alive - you have the ability to REALLY look at them: so many of us don't, frankly .... bit of blue, cloud or two, 'it's only background': oh no it's not! Dead skies equal dead paintings.

Thanks Robert, with a low horizon it is important to inject some interest into that big vast sky, glad you like it.

Love this Alan. Super energy, light and colour and totally agree with Robert about the sky. The yellows and greens are so well balanced and harmonious.

Well your sky is definitely a strong point in this painting Alan, but it wouldn't look so impressive without those delicately placed brush marks of colour for the trees in the foreground. Nice work.

My third and final contribution to the October challenge, and what an enjoyable one this month! 40 x 50cm oil on board. It’s a view from my studio window, painted in one short rapid session last week.
