No words needed Alan with this expressive sketch......the ghostly images are powerful, especially the one in the sky. Perhaps looking down on the futility of it all.

Very emotional, poor boys.

Yes powerful image, the barbed wire and fixed bayonets against the dark background, sad Alan.

Powerful sketch here Alan which conveys so much emotion.

Beautiful work and touching tribute, Alan.

Wow, this brings back memories, Alan. I haven't read that poem since I was a student, but the Latin line from the poem always stuck in my mind. You've done a great job bringing the sentiment to life - haunting and powerful.

Very expressive, Alan, beautifully done.

Thank you all for your comments, it was only a quick scribble done this morning but I felt that I had to do it. Seok, yes indeed, the book of war poets was on my A level syllabus many years ago, There were some great war poets, I enjoyed them all without exception.

There is a lot of emotion in this, Alan. We will remember them!!

Terrific Alan. I hope this isn't what is coming next - after Brexit!
