Thanks Val, the photo is dreadful as it is so dull outside, the green colour should be a raw sienna mix.

It captures perfectly those winter days when everything seems dark and very far from Spring, the deepest part of Winter. You achieved it - certainly not pretty but powerful.

Not posted anything for a while, struggling a bit but just knocked this piece out, oil on board 20 x 20in. Looking to get away from anything 'pretty', this is an actual scene but painted in the studio for a change.
