These old buildings are such wonderful shapes, just asking to be painted! Wonderful work Alan. You capture history so well.

What a beautiful palette Alan - it adds to the historical feel of the painting - there’s a lovely softness overall.

Those buildings have such character, Alan, and your painting does great justice to them! Superb!!

Well constructed with great shapes colours and textures

This is superb Alan and the pallet you used is perfect for the subject.

Superb painting Alan, Excellent colour mix .

Really good Alan. Love the sketchy look.

Very good Alan, I used to live near one of the few remaining in Fulham, London.

This is super Alan. Love the colours.

Love the warm colours and unusual shapes, together with those lovely splashes of light make a charming scene Alan.

You captured the soul

A great industrial painting. You don’t see many of those kilns nowadays. It was a time when buildings had character which you have captured beautifully!

A piece of history Alan...sad to see them go beautifully painted

Beautiful Alan, love the Reds against the Blues and the variation of shapes-

You could have painted this in far colder colours, to represent the oop North cliché - but not being one for cliché, of course you didn't. I like the warmth you've reflected in these old bricks, and the reflected light on the side of the foremost kiln.

I do love this. A super painting Alan.

Very good, particularly the limited palette.

Love those warm colours and gorgeous shapes, Alan x

Much appreciated guys, thank you so much!

Wonderful warm colours. There is something welcoming about a kiln.

Great subject - beautifully captured Alan.

Superb painting again, Alan, full of character and implied detail...and history!

Such interesting old buildings beautifully painted with that warm palette!

Lovely palette and textures Al.

A lovely painting Alan, and amazing structures. I especially like how you have used the colour of the kilns in the sky too, very pleasing.

Wonderful shapes, colours, everything about this painting.

Superb palette of colours, very subtle but so effective. Top class from a top artist!!👍👍👍👍👍👍

Easy on the eye this one Alan and I love your treatment of the sky

Most of these bottle kilns have long been demolished! They’re such a great shape to draw. The Gladstone Pottery Museum has been preserved and I’ve used parts of this plus my own imagination. Wallace Seymour oils on Belle Arti board 40x50cm
