Hector has surpassed himself with this Thea. The clever boy obviously used just the right amount of paint to get such a clean and accurate design. Would it be a birthday card by any chance? :)

On Hector's behalf - thank you Val, Glennis, Alan, Debs, and Christine for your kind comments. I'm afraid, as of this year, I have sacked birthdays and am having a different sort of celebration (no numbers involved or mentioned!). The card was for my BAFTA day when I got a Lifetime Achievement Award for being a great Mum and Grandma. That's miles better in my book. I even got to make a 'luvvie' speech!

I showed my 14 year old grandson, who loves art, how to do dendritic painting. He used the technique to produce this card for a special occasion in my life last week. I was amazed that he had managed to arrive at a perfect heart shape and at first I thought he had cut a heart shape out of a larger painted area, but on closer examination I could see he hadn't but had managed to move the paint precisely where he wanted it. Even I haven't managed to do that!!
