Well done Hector, and Happy Christmas - I like the clear colours you've used in your penguin, and the good drawing: especially of the wings, which are actually quite difficult to get right. A good, strong, simple design like this is what you want from a Christmas card.

This is a very good painting of a penguin Hector. I like the way that you've left most of his body shape white and resisted the temptation to add too much detail. Simple lines and very effective!

Have to agree with Seok, Hector. Gran's certainly passed her talent on. Very well done. We always see snowmen or robins, but what could be more wintry than a penguin! And as Louise said, your simple lines and sparing colour are really effective. Merry Christmas.

Hector (my 13 year old grandson) has posted on POL this year and also was one of the winners in a competition on here. He received lots of lovely comments and would like to say thank you with the Christmas card he has designed for 2014, which is of a Gentoo Penguin in festive garb. So thank you from Hector who has appreciated all the nice things people have said about his artistic offerings.
