A lovely painting Thalia, of a sad scene. Your lesson to self reminds me of sketching people outdoors- how often do they move when you are half way through! That’s part of the fun and challenge, but this still makes a fascinating painting with a story to it.

That is ever so colourful! It still makes a delightful subject to paint!

Good message to everyone ... this is lovely though and I think the air of dilapidation works well.

At least you got there before it’s all gone. I went to sketch a favourite pine of mine last month only to find the storms had blown it down. That’s nature!

Forgot to say lovely work Thalia

A lovely painting, full of character.

Lovely work Thalia. You’ve really captured the moment.

Sadly it doesn't take long before Nature takes over! A nicely done sketch Thalia.

Excellent advice Thalia. It has still made a beautiful painting.

You have captured the desolation and neglect of this scene perfectly Thalia.

Love this Thalia -=so painterly and your colours are so strong-

Thank you Tessa, yes! Absolutely! Thank you, David, Heather, Martin, indeed yes, in Malta the trees are being sacrificed, I'm afraid, to the great god, Concos, ie concrete, sad indeed! Thank you, Martin, Lynda, Spencer, Hilary, Coral, Fiona, Carole, and Rachel...can't do pale in Gozo!!Lol!

Lovely colourful painting Thalia, despite the sad tale you tell.

Good bold work as ever Thalia.

Thank you Katy and Jim

Great painting and I share your sadness but at least it’s been captured by you for the future.

Terrific interpretation of dereliction, Thalia but happy a palette!

Thank you, Shaun and Willie

Love the immediacy of thus piece, and the lovely loose washes. Beautiful work, Thalia!

Lovely work Thalia!

Thank you so much, Romila and Seok

Delightful painting Thalia, just sorry to hear the building is disused now, and very sorry to hear of trees being sacrificed. A lot of that happening here too.

I have wanted to paint this delightful tiny building for years. Now it is sadly forlorn and disused. It used to be surrounded by vegetables and flowers. Lesson to self! Paint what you see immediately! Nothing in life is given!
