Tiny 5x3ins picture, a courtyard typical of Mdina. I was talking to a stonemason yesterday and apparently much of the stone used in important places on Malta hundreds of years ago when this courtyard would have been built was sourced in Gozo as the stone here is more durable. All old buildings are stone, never brick, giving such an iconic appearance to the place! These appear to have a reddish hue, I used Burnt Sienna for transparency.
