I like the almost illustrative style and the vibrant colours, Tessa.

It’s almost railway poster style Tessa. It works well - I wonder what you’ll change, if anything.

Many thanks all for your encouragement and kind comments. Marjorie I probably won’t change it now. It was done in a two hour slot and I mostly think I’m happy with that, and don’t really want to fiddle at home, however tempting that might be! The title has a double meaning. Obviously the physical look of the painting, but also the idea of an unplanned painting developing as it went along.

Incidentally this was painted mostly with one brush- approximately 3/4” using length and side.

Lovely warm colours and the road leads the eye far away ,.......'over the hills and far away' and kind of drift into another realm...seems to be like Spain from what I visualise near the Pyraneese mountains? Anyway the colours are vibrant and blend well Tessa, nicely painted!
