Looking really good so far...don't freeze though!! Hope to see it when finished, looks lovely Tessa!

A brave artist! You have caught the blustery conditions very well.

Well done Tessa, for getting out there. This is progressing very nicely.

Thank you Thalia, Stephen and Alan for your encouraging comments! I had birds singing to accompany me so wasn’t totally on my own: also a couple of ladies on horseback passed by: tempted to try to include them but I’m not that quick!

Looks great to me, Tessa - I don't think you have much more work to do...

There's a great light effect on this.

Thank you Jan, Maureen and Emma: can’t wait to get out there again!

Well you know your own business best, so if I say don't overwork it, I'm sure you'll get the point. You have a freshness in the painting, and while I'd work on it some more if it were mine, I'd be careful not to tidy the rough and twiggy bits up too much. Thank you Robert: looking at your work you are one to listen to! I will let it rest for a few days and then see where we go. :)

The lighting on the right of the road is great. lovely Tessa.

It's looking really good.

I don't know why I haven't seen this earlier. Very nice Tessa. Beautiful sunlight.

Good for you Tessa! You’ve injected the sunshine straight onto your canvas....looking fab.

Thank you all for your lovely comments, Karen, Ibolya, Margaret and Fiona.

Grabbing the opportunity of a sunny morning at last to paint en Plein air on a quiet country lane not far from home. I have managed two mornings on this so far and obviously there’s a little way to go- in particular the trees/top half.

About the Artist
Tessa Gwynne

I have returned to painting over the last few years having relocated from Cardiff to the Cotswolds in 2009 and joined the Guiting Power Art Group. Although I did a year's Foundation Course at art college after leaving school, I hadn’t painted much in the interim, except for a few attempts here and…
