This is beautiful

The limited colour palette has worked really well, good one Bob

Agree with Heather, the limited palette works really well. Lovely painting.

A big thank you for all your comments. I forgot to say that almost all the background to the painting was done with Rosemary and CO’s long handled Evergreen flat brushes that I was given by my sister, which I found to have an ideal amount of softness and spring for gouache.I was also using a UGo pochard palette and painting with the paper almost vertical. Because of a neck problem I have found that my normal angle …almost flat, gives me some pain so I’m trying this new approach. Bob.

Thank you Diane.
