"On our table" Watercolour on Arches 140lb Not ....approx 8" x 5"
My wife had a birthday recently, and we went for an afternoon tea at a "Posh" hotel near us with a friend. This spray of flowers was on our table. Always on the lookout for a good painting opportunity, I took a photo of them to paint later. Very limited palette of Permanent Rose, Cerulean blue, Cadmium yellow, Ultramarine, Cobalt blue Raw sienna, Burnt Umber, and Hookers green was used. I've been looking at youtube tutorials by Chris Petri, who was a pupil of the late Charles Reid. Very helpful.
