And it is very Grand Bob, you have captured a sense of height and depth very well a wonderful viewpoint.

Gouache paintings are generally underrepresented even though it is an exciting and demanding medium. I like this work a lot Bob. Beautiful contrasts, tone values and depth with an interesting colour scheme – very well executed!

Very good aerial perspective and a real sense of the awesome scale and beauty of the scene despite the small size of the painting.

Carole, Holger, Detlev and Colin, thank you so much...keep up the good painting yourselves...Bob

This is my second painting of the Grand Canyon in Gouache done from a photo my brother took when visiting this beautiful place. I primed the stretched paper with Acrylic matt medium after doing the drawing to prevent smudging when doing the painting. W&N and Daler Rowney designer gouache paints were used with a palette of.... Cobalt blue, Spectrum violet, Naples yellow, Lemon yellow, Sap green, Leaf green, Red earth, Burnt sienna, Warm and Cool grey,Titanium white and very small touches of Velvet black.
