Does what it says on the tin Robert. Good title and a nice sketch.

Lovely loose style, Robert - I really like the texture of the grass and the yachts in the distance...

Hi Robert. Practicing your greens I see. Good as well.

The greens are good Robert! A real summery feel to this lovely painting, you are lucky to live in such a great place.

Beautiful refreshing greens Robert.

It's a scene that I have watched on many occasions in the past, starting from Cowes to the sound of the 21 gun or cannon should I say on the prom outside the RYS, happy memories. Anyway, you didn't shy away from that huge block of greens, I would have done. It's well handled and sort of divided up into blocks which breaks it all up nicely, the shadow areas helping this also. It's a well thought out piece, the yacht's and lighthouse not overstated, I may have been tempted to put a glint of highlight on just a couple of the sails as they caught the sun but I never know when to stop...

Lush and bracing, and you've caught the distant yachts perfectly. Great sketch.

Oil sketch of St Catherine's Point, Isle of Wight, as the round the Island race yachts come into view. 10" by 8", and I think I need a new camera .... best I can do.
