Beautiful colours and texture. The light is superb Robert. Difficult job being first to comment ... It certainly "sings" to me.

Beautiful creamy colours and wonderful palette. Great sense of light and distance. A really lovely painting.

Fabulous Robert, I like the looseness of the hills and the texture in the foreground. I agree with Thea and Avril about the light.

superb direct aproach, a hint of Van Goch maybe?, please post more often Robert

Yes, a lovely painting, filled with light and air. Lovely palette of colour again too.

Lovely to see your poetic landscapes on the gallery again. I particularly like the sense of distance you have achieved in this little painting, along with the wonderful movement in the foreground.

Thought it was time I posted something again. I will post this in step form on my blog (wightpaint.blogspot.com) when I get over my little hangover.... Oil, about 7 1/2" x 9 1/2", on stretched canvas. This is a path leading from the Blackgang Road, before "they" got in and cut all the vegetation down.
