I'm sure your mother will love this card as she has, every other card you have done for her. Every year I have sent my mother an animal caricature for her birthday card - I was beginning to run out, but have assembled a further store of images from which to work, of which this is one. He's a sloth, in acrylic on watercolour paper. My mother - a hard woman - suggests I have slothful characteristics myself, but of course one doesn't take offence and retaliate, by indicating just how old she is now. I wouldn't do that. 89, she is. Eighty-nine years old. Pushing 90.....
