Paul Hopkinson

I am a full time professional artist and teach online from my Watercolour Wildlife School I do love teaching by recording my videos of which I chat all the way through and my members there seem to like the way I teach. Here is a little about how I started within the art world. 🧑‍🎨 I started drawing when I was knee-high to a grasshopper, but didn’t pick up my first brush until the age of twelve. This was when I first started to paint in oils and watercolour. We ventured into the Derbyshire countryside with canvases and easels, and that is where it all began! For many years I have undertaken watercolour, oil, acrylic, pen & ink and graphite commissions and have painted portraits, landscapes and animals. 🐕‍🦺🐾 I now paint as a full time artist and have over 40 years of experience. I love every minute of my work, though the time always seem to go too quickly when I paint! I live in North Devon and spend many weekends out and about in the local countryside. 🥾 My focus these days is on the teaching of my style and techniques and I do this through written PDFs, YouTube, Vimeo and my website is a subscription based platform with new content and tutorials being added all the time. I create and edit videos of my painting projects, these are building into a substantial back catalogue of currently over 120 video lessons in watercolour, for painting wildlife and botanical subjects in detail and which you get complete access to as a member. I absolutely love teaching others, and love even more to see the progress people make as they work on the projects. My paint brushes are still very rarely dry, I am still painting, but I also spend a lot of time video editing! Why not come and join me on my website above and let me teach you my method of painting! Don’t forget…..keep them brushes wet! Regards, Paul 🎨
