Excellent. Love to see a piece here full of energy and direct observation / experience.

Excellent stuff Robert. Nice little jig-saw like blocks of colour locking together. best Mick

My husband and I both agree that we like this painting a lot, which is unusual as we have different tastes in art. This painting is very much a comment of a wet and muddy time of year, a lovely combination of colours .

It certainly doesn't matter where it is Robert, it's a beautifully executed painting.

There are so many wonderful areas to feast the eye on Robert, and pulled together they make a fabulous painting.

How lovely to come across one of your paintings on the gallery, Robert! I love the palette and the textures - the mossy bark on the tree on the left is wonderful. A super painting.

I agree with Thea, nice to see one of your paintings again on POL.

Superb Robert - one for the top 10

Love the rich colours, great painting

Lovely, powerful work Robert, full of colour and energy.

Great painting Robert, your trees, grasses and bushes have a style all of their own and instantly recognisable. Lovely palette too.

... nice to see your skill, knowledge and talent at work!

Logged in specially to comment . Yup decidedly a wellie sort of day. Splishing and sploshing along. I like it very much. Thanks for posting it.

Robert..Delighted to find one of your paintings on the gallery...Quite used to your welcome comments and input to Forum of course, (that is when I get there) This is delightful..one breathes in fresh air here. Lovely palette, wonderful brushstrokes.

Robert..Delighted to see one of your paintings on here again. This is a breath of fresh air...I breathe it in as I view. Lovely palette, super brushstrokes. More please....

Good to see one of your works here again, Robert. A worthy pice.

Sorry, R....Seem to have repeated myself...damned old pickled onions!

Just found this one Robert. I love the way you have used bold shapes here and the way they and the fences lead the eye into the middle of the painting. It looks gloriously windswept and splashy muddy as well. The directional brushstrokes add a lively feel to the whole scene as well.

i think iv finally found your latest painting recommended to me by Sylvia :-) this paintng is such a lovely scene, full of texture, perfectly captured :-) it is nice to see you posting again and hope to see more of your painting uploaded here :-)

Robert this is delightful. I love the spread and variation of colours. Makes me want to walk the path and step in the puddle; suitably attired of course :)

This is lovely. I like the "just after the rain" atmosphere and my eye was drawn to the lichen on the tree.

30 by 40cm, Daler Rowney Cryla and Chromacolour. Now don't ask me where this is: I neglected to put either a date or a place on the sketch from which it's taken: it's EITHER somewhere near Newtown Creek on the Isle of Wight, OR marshy land near Emsworth in Sussex, when I was last over there.... But does it matter? I hope not.....
