That's just beautiful Marjorie!

That's just beautiful Marjorie!

The tones are a little darker in reality but this will have to do!

This is really good Marjorie.

You have captured the serene wildness of this area superbly Marjorie. Love your treatment of the grasses and thank you for the information on ‘Belties’.

Gorgeous, Marjorie - composition and colours, and I especially like the way you’ve painted the grasses and foreground. We have a small herd of ‘Belties’ on our local heathland.

It is a lovely painting Marjorie.

You’re coming up with some different stuff these days Marjorie…great job as always!

Beautiful grasses and boggy ,looks wild and atmospheric too...something about Northumberland intrigues , the coastal districts too..lovely painting Marjorie!

Excellent.

Such versatility in your work Marjorie, this is wonderful.

Excellent Marjorie and so good to see re-wilding. Our local Dorset heathland is also the subject of a re-wilding project.

What a great scene Marjorie. I love the way you paint your grasses-fab!

Wow, what a beautiful painting!!

Superb painting Marjorie. Good idea having cattle that eat only the surface grass.

Wonderful painting Marjorie. I especially like the way you have painted the foreground grasses and sedges.

Many thanks and appreciation for all your comments everyone!

You’ve really captured the feel of the place. It had just started being restored from opencast workings when I lived near there

Martin, I don’t know whether you’ve been back but the lake is well established now as is the country park - and all just a stone’s throw from the beach.

This is excellent Marjorie, those reeds in particular are very good

Lovely Marjorie

Re- wilding the dunes in Northumberland. When I saw this there was a lone Aberdeen Angus but now there are more and more” Belties” ( Belted Galloways)., chosen because they just eat the surface grass and the rest is left to grow and spread.
