They certainly are prolific, when a pod drops off it will start to grow within days, whatever the ground conditions!

An uncommon fruit we rarely see in paintings Marjorie. It appears more exotic and inviting with the backdrop of the sea and makes a lovely painting. Devil of a fruit to tackle though and you usually end up with a prickly mouth and hands.
