That final touch

Paintings within paintings Marjorie, always interesting. You painted your hand well too.

How fab is this Marjorie, I like it a lot

Thanks Carole, must admit, I thought I’d bitten off more than I could chew!

Superb!how clever

Thanks Heather, Anne and Peter - that paintbrush is a “ prop”, I always use chisel edged brushes ( flats).

Superb artwork Marjorie, no you didn’t bite of more than you could chew . So original, so effective and so beautifully done.

What a great idea! Very well done.

Great idea, well painted. I like miniatures but 3.5 x 2.5 is way too small for me.

Lewis, I did have a headache at one point 😆

How you managed it at that size, I don't know....but I am glad you did. Splendid and imaginative, well done.

Amazing, like it a lot.

Quite perplexing, Marjorie!

Wow this is clever. Beautiful 😍

I love this Marjorie; so much skill involved, the shadows are very good, as are the reflections in the window! The miniatures themselves are lovely too; a really clever idea!

Well you clever thing you! How very original. 👍🤣

Very clever Marjorie, those cherries look delicious.

Really clever Marjorie- and beautifully painted

How lovely Marjorie.

Thank you very much everyone for all your comments!

Great idea Marjorie. I could do with borrowing your glasses!!

Wow…paintings within a painting. So unusual, and I expect, difficult to achieve.

3.5" by 2.5"? I can't even see that small.... I would fix your art club with a hard stare if they expected me to do that - 5" by 5" is - I think - the smallest I've ever gone. Anyway, clever idea, nicely accomplished - and I approve of the choice of brushes to which you refer in the comments - in the end, I ended up with flats as my principal painting weapons, plus the occasional Rosemary & Co Egbert; but I do have others, of course.

Such a great idea to present those miniatures Marjorie. They are all so appealing and so well balanced within the window frame. I imagine this must have been quite a challenge so skilfully achieved.

Appreciate the comments - thanks again everyone🙂

For our art club project we had to paint a miniature, 3.5x2.5”. I used the same measurement ( of two of them) but thought this might be more interesting.
