Almost abstract to me Marjorie. Without the horizon, therefore the sunset, I see waving figures retreating

Well, for all your troubles, this has worked tremendously well; just a hint of mystery. Gorgeous colours and light.

Well Marjorie, this has turned out a little beauty after all your struggling. some lovely blue hues and a great sunset, if not overstated.

Derek, you're right - spooky! Especially those two " figures" coming in from the left. It's given me some other ideas.... Thankyou Gudrun and Alan - I think I might have used one of "your" blues Alan.

An interesting piece, with a strong foreground which I think looks great.almost two scenes in one.

More atmospheric than spooky I think Marjorie enhanced by that brilliant foreground.

Lovely work Marjorie . lovely light on the horizon . Blue , in the foreground , works well.

Despite your problems Marjorie, I think you achieved your aim, I think the blurring in the foreground gives that view you get as the light drops in the evening,, love the muted colours I think it is a really effective work, well done for your persistence in completing it.

Reminds me of the Suffolk marshes between Snape & Aldeburgh. One of my favourite areas.
