The driver of this workhorse Class 09, 0-6-0, diesel locomotive just checking that all is well before continuing his journey, with his single 20 Tonne MGR (Merry Go Round) Hopper wagon. These small locos were designed either for shunting or short branch line work. The MGR hopper wagons were designed to be both filled and emptied, whilst on the move, hence the term Merry Go Round. Size 16 x 12 inches on Hahnemuhle 200lb paper using White Nights watercolours. (this painting also on the WIP Forum page)
