Expressions wonderful. Especially the little dog.

I have several sketchbooks on the go, these are from A4 books that are almost full. On spiral bound books I work through using the right hand page, then I turn them upside down and fill in any usuable pages...I like to rest my hand on the book, doing it this way stops the spiral binding getting in my way. I'll replace them with larger sketchbooks. My hands are not so dextrous now, it's easier to draw larger...old age. I like the top left pic, which took no time at all. I like least the bottom left pic, which took a lot more time. Nothing special about that...it happens.

Thanks Sylvia, you got in before I put my explanation on.

Lovely work Lewis. Great characters they all look fab to me 🙂

All 4 are great, my favourite is bottom right

Four excellent drawing Lew all the characters are beautifully done.

A wonderful variety Lewis.

Top right for me. Hope springs eternal..(-:

Love these Lewis. My favourite is bottom right- made me chuckle and top right is what I aim to do every day but fail miserably!

All four are wonderful and varied characters - love the little dog!

Bottom right is my favourite, your imagination knows no bounds.

Bottom left is my favourite - looks like Gandalf!

I know how difficult it is as we get older and start losing certain abilities. The main thing is to to do what we can and keep pushing ourselves as you do. Your work is inspirational Lewis and never loses its skilful charm. Your diligence is well rewarded by giving us so much pleasure.

Thanks everybody. Your comment is much appreciated Carole, all you can do is keep at it.

Four great characters Lewis especially Mrs Hoity Toity.

I like all of them Lewis!

Love them all Lew.

Every picture tells a story Lewis. You have that magical gift some of us would die for believe me😊

Great sketches Lewis and a great range of characters.

They are all gorgeous - still waiting for you to publish……

These are fine artworks Lew, you manage to get every fine detail, mood, expression, movement, position of hands, everything spot on.

More great sketches, Lewis, especially like the one top right, looks like he’s enjoying himself.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
