Lew your powers of observation are gob smacking. So funny.

A great selection of characters, Lewis - love the one bottom left!

Super work Lewis, I especially like the high wire. He'll be in big trouble if he drops the missus. She won't cook him that fry up in the morning.

Missed you Lewis and always excellent work

Brilliant lewis

Theses are so good Lewis, love the Martian Invasion. Glad to see you posting again x

Thank you Sylvia, Jenny, Denise, Heather and Anne. Your comments are very much appreciated.

Wonderful- cheered me up this Monday morning.

They are brilliant and fun to look at

Excellent Lew high standard as normal for you , missed your work and pleased you feel able to produce your excellent artwork.

Great to see you're back and giving us more of your excellent characters, Lew.

Welcome back Lew, good to see you getting back into the swing of things and keeping us all entertained again.

Terrific work Lew. Love the dancers..(-:

Cheered me up this morning. So glad to see you back again - love the high wire act, the expressions on their faces are priceless.

Always amusing and enjoyable Lewis.

Thanks again to everybody for your generous response to my sketches.

I just Love your work!

Those expressions are great - especially the reader!

Great work again Lewis. Good to see it.

Good to see you back with your always rib tickling observational sketches. The expressions are great !

Good to see your work again, Lew - you've proved that you're a man of courage, as well as wit.

Just great to see you 'producing' again Lewis, I think it's blatantly obvious how much we've missed you and your array of characters and acute observation.

Great story telling and characters Lewis.

Thank you once again to everybody for your kind words and encouragement, they are very much appreciated.

Lovely to see your work again Lewis. Have missed having a giggle over your wonderful characters.I especially love the characters on the right with their fantastic facial expressions.

Lovely to see your wonderfully funny drawings again, Lewis. Love the Martians and the high wire pair especially!

Love the dancers . I identify with those wobbly knees. The tight rope walkers tickled my fancy too. I would worry about cracking open one of those martians’s heads instead of an egg too. Well done a it is super to see you back.

Great to see you back Lewis. I'm sure the lady top left is Diane Holland - the ballroom dancer from 'Hi Di Hi' - That shows my age !!

Definitely haven’t lost your skills Lew! Good to see you posting again.

Ah ha! love them! You're fantastic at this, Lewis

Great work again as always. Faultless.

Love your characters expressions Lewis. I always enjoy your humour and its good to see your work again here.

Good to see you are "still around" and alive and kicking, Lewis , trust all is well for you. Missed my daily chuckles

I've not done anything for a couple of months or so. Need to get back into the swing of things. Thought I'd do some random sketches, doing them this way means I can skip between pictures...and so keep at it. Started with the dancers...not so good...but I continued anyway. Pen and water-soluble coloured pencil.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
