They're always brilliant, Lew. That oversized hat is an absolute hoot. Made me chuckle did this one. Bri

Not the medium that matters Lew, you're a master of expressionism and character. Love the "military"haircut. Good work.

Brilliant sketch Lew.

Great use of the watercolour pencil, good sketch again, I'm like you at the moment Lewis, having a breather, exhibition at weekend wasn't good, not a lot of people turned up, feeling deflated, 🙄

We all know someone like this Lewis, brilliant. Know what you mean about not having the time to draw/paint. In that situation also but I don't have the spontaneity and skill of drawing as you possess. Have to allow a painting to emerge, which takes up too much time. Hope to get back to it soon though. Have been devoting my time to preparing a calendar for 2019, very time consuming.

Great work, as usual, Lewis. I went to the barber today and feel that perhaps you were looking in through the window!

Thanks to everyone for having a look and your comments. I'm the same with paintings, Carole, but the great joy of sketchbooks is I can draw the first thing that comes into my head. So that was you in the barber's chair, Peter...I hope I got your Adam's apple right.

The comical little extras are delightful Lewis.

I love this Lewis, there is always such character in your drawings. You have a very special gift.

Thank you John and Margaret.

Keep treating us to snippets of your imagination Lewis......love his hair cut! I haven’t been doing much lately, but it’s coming back slowly.

Lewis I haven't picked up a pen, pencil, brush for months I just can't get my head in gear. I'm happily looking at everyone's work daily commenting, reading and gathering inspiration, hoping the urge to art will come back soon. Its a positive step as a few weeks ago I wasn't even doing this. Little bits like this sketch keep you in the loop, it's fab, it's a talking point, it gives us all a giggle, and your brain doesn't cease up like mine has. X

How I wish I could produce work of this standard from my imagination! Brilliant as always Lewis

Thanks to everyone for your very encouraging comments.

Missed this one. Another brilliant sketch. I have to agree ,time seems very short at the moment for getting more art done. Is it that we are getting older and we take longer to do things.?. I hope to be turning out a bit more art in the near future, as long as there is enough time of course!!!

As always Lewis, just stunningly good could be a candidate for Monstrous regiments!!! S/he 'd fit right in!!!

Drawing 'something.'

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
