Really like this, great humour & painting.

But where’s the blobs and splatters? Seriously though, apart from a great character, this has some interesting ‘dip pen’ variations of line!

Another smasher ... love that beard!

Excellent drawing Lew , I would end up with a big black blob if I tried a dip pen. I used to make a terrible mess at school when I used one , I do remember get my finger stuck in the ink well I had a black tip to my finger for a few day after.

Ha ha. I can do this without restorer!

Fantastic Lewis.

This really made me laugh, Lewis - superb humour and drawing - love those ears!!

Thanks to everybody for your great response. No Alan...no blots...I must be doing something wrong. My memory of dip pens includes that of several drawings spoilt by blots and smears, but maybe not so many as I'm imagining. Wouldn't be too fussed now, unless I got a big blot whilst drawing an eye. (The character would end up with an eye-patch.)

Love the humour - and the sketch!

Brilliant drawing as always Lewis and very funny. My 'hairy ears' are beginning to fascinate a couple of my grandchildren!

Impressive as usual, Lewis plus all that skill and your big dab of humour!

That beard is so skilfully achieved. It must have taken you ages. Had a good giggle this morning as your work is such a ‘pick me up’ Lewis.

Ha ha...(-:

Ha ha ! Hilarious, Lewis, thanks for brightening a very trying day!

😂😂fabulous Lewis, gave me a belly laugh.

Love that very clever contrast of the hair on the bottle and the lack thereof on the head. It's hilarious, Lewis!

Thanks again to everybody for having a look and taking the trouble to comment. Much appreciated.

Great work 😃

Great humour,Great beard and ear hair - scored again Lewis !!!

Very funny Lewis!

I could do with this Lewis, hairs falling out in clumps. Joys of getting older 🙄

Tried a dip pen. Way back I used them all the time, but for many years I've used fine-liner pens. I like many aspects of the dip pen, but in all honesty this reminded me why I changed to the modern drawing pens. But I suspect I'll use a dip pen occasionally.
