Now I'm turning green! I wouldn't mind, but I'm trying for a tan and envious green isn't a good look...

Beautifully painted, I think is one of the nicest watercolour portraits I've seen in a long time.

Your skill etc, excellence etc has already been mentioned! I've just to add, alongside the first version of Ines, this one just oozes kindness. If i could get half of that in my oils, I would be happy!

Beginning to annoy me now....... - (only joking!) - amazing, wonderful, brilliant portrait. I can't praise it too highly.

P S Kim, would you be prepared to do a tutorial (like Rupert did) so that we can see how you approached the portrait and how it evolved. I, for one, would find that really valuable and interesting.

This is truly beautiful. What more can I say.

I agree with all the above. Remarkable work!!

I was happy with this piece, even though it seemed to be going adrift at the time. Since I've left all the portraits for the home to keep, I shall have to go back to look it over. But yes Thea, I'd be happy to try to summarise my process for you - even though it's not hard and fast but depends on the subject (and the moment).Thank you so much for looking and approving.

Great - now looking forward to the Kim Sommerschield Master Class!! Seriously, I truly am in awe of your talent with watercolour and with every portrait you posted of the old folk, my utter frustration with my own ineptitude grew and grew. Your work looks effortless and so immediate and I would love to be able to show that in what I do, but I get bogged down in trying too hard I think. Hoping that dear Charles will be able to rescue me lol!

I do admire portraits in watercolour especially - this is remarkable!

- and here is Moses. With a name like that he deserved an affectionate portrait. He's also one of the home's only male residents and one who's lived there the longest - 30 years after becoming wheelchair-bound. A lovely man!
