It's lovely Katy, I would be skating, wouldn't be able to resist despite any risks. I can picture myself skating across. I think that's what art should do, bring you alive when you look at it.

Loose and lovely. Just looks a bit sparse on the lake. Yes, some skaters would bring it to life. All the same, I do like the overall brushwork. Regards. John

Watercolour from a photo taken on a skiing holiday in Canada, many years ago. The painting has been lurking in the ‘is it finished?/forgotten’ pile. Had thought to add some figures skating on the frozen lake, but it hasn’t happened yet!
