Experiment with Monoprint

Comments

Hey Katy, this is fab! It’s great fun isn’t it, very liberating in the fact that what you produce doesn’t need to represent anything in particular. Half the fun is not knowing what the end result will be. I particularly like how you have blended the colours together and they fit well along side each other. If I had one criticism, if you don’t mind me mentioning.....I feel the composition didn’t need the swirls mid way up the painting. The side to side swirls at the very top look good though. Will you have another go? Try blanking out some random shapes by tearing up pieces of news paper or similar before you put your paper over to print.

Thanks Fiona, I will definitely do some more. Thanks for the tips, much appreciated.
