Another very good one

Nice loose work Hilary, I like John Hoar’s work and you have caught his style here. The windows in the tower look like a face, which adds a little humour to the scene.

Another excellent example of watercolour painting Hilary ……..beautifully loose.

Delightful work Hil. I wasn’t particularly familiar with John Hoar so just had a look at his website, and can see what attracted you. Crisp and clean painting. I like it.

Altogether excellent - is that pen or a very fine rigger?

Thank you very much for your comments Heather, Spencer, Stephen, Fiona, Tessa and Marjorie. Marjorie in this case it was a long matchstick attached to a bit of bamboo, dipped in Indian ink - which I found easy to use, no spluttering. John does use his swordbrush to apply ink also, but that takes quite a lot of practice I think!

Obviously a very worthwhile course!

Thank you Paul and Alan, your comments are very much appreciated.

Lovely work - effective pallete

Beautiful, Hilary - I like his work too!

Thanks Ceri and Anne for your comments.
