Watercolour & crayon on Inktense paper. The reference photo I took was of the view from friends' front garden. I liked the way the branches of the tree echoed the lines on the hill behind, but it's not as loose as I'd like because painting in the detail got a bit fiddly.

Many moons ago I completed an Art Foundation, and have attended art classes and workshops along the way, but basically I'm self-taught. I prefer to work in watercolour - I enjoy being expressive with colour and line, and experimenting with mixed media.
