Catkins by Bassenthwaite
Probably my favourite of my ink and coloured pencil pieces, and the one used on the cover of my book. This is lovely Bassenthwaite Lake in February, just as the first catkins were appearing. It's a larger work,using an integrated mix of black drawing ink and dry coloured pencil. If you like the combination, I have the first of a series of seasonal articles in the May issue of The Artist - out on March 17th.
