Flood by Wastwater

Very nice indeed

Lovely painting Helen...I like it

This one is my favourite. You have slightly softened those distant fells and the sky is great. The foreground details help to give depth to it. Excellent.

The final image in the Wastwater series looks into the distance at the end of the lake and shows the extent of the flood. The tree, usually on the shoreline, is surrounded by water which flows diagonally across the foreground, adding to the drama. I created weather on the fells by adding lots of light and shade and lifting out chunks of colour.
