You are too harsh on yourself, Fiona. I like the rough and ready feel of this.

Thank you Dawn, I struggled to keep it loose.....and it’s a bit muddy.

Think this is terrific Fiona, wish my landscape paintings came out as good as yours

Love the lost and found edges in the sky washes Fiona, distant hills fab, and contrasting foreground.

I love it Fiona, I think your brushwork is lovely and flowing. I think we are always to self critical of our own work and others see what we don't.

Gordon Bennet I thought it was a Wesson for a minute excellent Fiona

Beautiful landscape, I don't see it as muddy.

Lol...Thank you very much David, you are very kind. Thanks Carole, the sky I don’t mind....it’s the rest! Lol We are never happy are we Linda....it just didn’t flow. Thanks Linda. Oh Dennis, I wish! Thank you for saying so. X

Lovely sky, background hills and water, not too keen on the fence, although you have left a gap for us to 'walk through'.

Thanks for your feedback Stephen, the fence is my particular bugbear.

Thank you Sandra, perhaps it’s because I’ve been using a brighter palette for other paintings and going back to my usual watercolour landscape palette seems a bit dull.

Turned out to be a beauty Fiona

It looks glorious Fiona, super work.

Splendid countryside and it has lovely use of watercolours.

Good watercolour in your lovely style, Fiona.

Don't doubt it, it's lovely.

Beautiful work as always, Fiona. You're not afraid to experiment and try new approaches. One of the many things I like about your work is how they invite the viewer into the composition and to encourage a kind of conversation.

Like the sky and distant hills, well worked.

We are all our own worst critics Fiona, to my eyes you have nothing to fear all is well on the watercolour front.

I like it Fiona, you are like myself, never really happy with anything. However, this is a good effort from you and you should be pleased with the result. Looks a fabulous place to sit and paint... On a warm day.

Nothing wrong with it, Fiona. A great landscape painting.

It show you have movered forward Fiona. It look confident.

Very good Fiona. We used to do a lot of Camping around Galloway.

I really like this composition, Fiona, lovely contrast of lights and darks and a nice depth to it.

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments, much appreciated......it’s growing on me!

Nah, this is great, Fiona, we really are our own worst critic. But I reckon you'll come across this one in a few months and it'll be one of those "I remember I didn't like this one but actually it's fine" ones.

Love the colours and that beautiful sky again.

16” x12” watercolour on Arches. Feels like a long time since I did a watercolour and it shows!
