Hope you didn't cut your ear off in frustration though :) I think it's grand and unmistakably yours Fiona.

Looks good Fiona, in your recognisable style, love your pen and wash paintings.

Impressive work Fiona. I like your introduction of the bright colours. I wish we had nothing but lovely countryside back and front.

Doesn't look that overworked to me Fiona. Good feeling of distance, I read in a book recently that if you think you should stop painting, it is already too late! That seems a bit pointless when you think about it!

Looks wonderful to me, Fiona - lovely painting...

Ha ha, no Pete but I did some very unladylike like cussing...thank you. Thank you David for your generous comment. Many thanks Mick, you are always welcome to come and share it, there's plenty to go around! Sounds like good advice Stephen, it's remembering it in time. Thanks very much. Thanks very much Jan!

Knowing when to stop is so difficult sometimes. I don't think this is overworked and not at all muddy. I really like that sweeping dry brush. It's so effective in describing the land texture.

We learn something every time we put brush to paper Fiona.

Agree on the stopping point Fiona, but that's a nice painting. Far from a disaster indeed.

Not particularly muddy to my eyes. It describes a cold and wintery scene. I really like it.

It is beautiful as ever, Fiona.

It really is a beautiful composition Fiona. It's a great pen and wash piece.

Love this..great sky & those rooks really add to it.

I see no mud Fiona? Great ariel perspective.

Those pen marks make this watercolour really interesting and expressive Fiona

It doesn't look overworked at all Fiona, I love the fence line and stronger areas of colour, especially the blues - and the birds give it life.

Looks great to me Fiona, I don't think it's overworked at all, it looks just right!

Thanks ever so much everyone for your feedback, your support is greatly appreciated.

Good pen and confident brush work Fiona. Love it:)

Thanks very much Louise.

Missed this Fiona lovely work and the pen work really gives it life

Now, this is my favourite one of yours so far..lovely composition, beautifully executed, Fiona!

I found this really caught my eye, not muddy at all. I liked the shadows cast by the trees, and the lighted areas. That old fence is well done too, it gives it a real country feeling.

16x14 watercolour and pen on Jacksons paper. This one has sort of evolved, three times I've been back to it and the result is muddy washes and overworked everything else. Stop when you think you should stop! Lol
