16"x12" Pen & wash, Jackson's rough paper. u. marine, b. sienna, r. umber old Holland paints & Indian ink. Spent the morning at Castle Kennedy, which is renowned for it's splendid gardens. This is the original castle but it was destroyed by fire in 1716, the new castle was built in the mid 19th century. Beautiful weather with nice shadows, and the Autumnal colours touching the trees.
