This is beautiful Fiona a work of art more than a challenge! Sorry about the weather up there, hope the shorts fit when the sun does eventually come out ;)

Thanks Carole, I hope they fit too. You never know I might even get the chance to wear them this year!

I agree it's more than a challenge, it's really beautiful and delicate Fiona. I'm in Finland at the moment and we haven't had a summer yet so my shorts and sandals are waiting in the wardrobe too.

Beautiful Fiona and so delicately painted love those curly tendrils too. I think it needs a bee though, Lol!

Love it Fiona, I will try and send some sunshine up to you, we have plenty here, getting too warm for me! (Shock, horror do I hear!)

Not usually attracted to floral stuff but this is beautifully handled as always.

I am enjoying the flowers in this great weather gorgeous Fiona

Flowingly beautiful. I love the swirly feel. I haven't got past the blue challenge.
Are those still the same shorts that you wore when you were in the WAFs ?

Excellent work Fiona, lively, well balanced colours and you've left some white space this time, good stuff.

Gorgeous, delicate pen+wash, Fiona, with delicate colours to compliment it. Lovely!

Everyone is right Fiona, this is a work of art and combines the two colours of the challenge beautifully. The weather isn't any better further north either, clammy wet and very dull but even the sun wouldn't get me in shorts lol.

Now this is really special - great use of the pen and delicate palette with just enough darks to make it shine.

Thank you everyone, all your lovely 'sunny' comments have brightened up my day!

Val, I'm glad I'm not suffering alone, I'm assured the sun wil shine tomorrow!

Christine, I couldn't possibly pinch you trade mark, I wouldn't be able to do one as good as yours anyway.

Glennis, you had better send Satu some of your sunshine too....

Of course they are Alan, they made things to last in those days.....you should know that!lol

Really nice patterns formed with those swirling pen lines. They add a lot to a very attractive image. 31 degrees here and that was at 6pm.. I was in Manchester this afternoon and it felt like Barchelona (Spanish accent). Dig out the shorts!

Guess what Louise...the sun is shinning......only since 30minutes ago! It's 20.28 so a bit late for shorts but I'll dig them out and give them a dust off for tomorrow. The swirly pen marks are my impression of the Honeysuckle tendrils bit difficult to do with a rigger. Thanks very much for your comment, always appreciated.

This is a lovely design and never mind about challenges, it's a lovely work in it's own right.

Very kind of you to say so Thea, thank you very much. I noticed a red poppy in the garden today, may give that a bash tomorrow.

Excellent lively piece of work , very well executed

Lovely swirling patterns to the honeysuckle, would make a great kitchen tile!

This is super, Fiona - loads of life and vitality, and what a joyful piece!

Thank you very much Dermot, Debs and Seok for you feedback much appreciated.

Pen & wash. I'm catching up on a couple of colour challenges, missed the yellow and red one so I've combined the two....and chucked in a bit of green. Not really meeting the challenge specifics but I enjoyed it! This Honeysuckle is flowering it's heart out in the garden at the moment and I couldn't resist it for this sketch. Unfortunately I was rained off....yes, NOT the blistering temps you're having south of the border today just the usual grey and damp that seems to be with us in Galloway this year! I hear it's about to improve tomorrow.....I might even get my shorts out Louise, not to wear, just to see if they still fit!Lol.
