It was hardly any effort at all David, thank you for your comment. Marjorie, I wish it were this easy every time I put paint to canvas...thank you. Sometimes it works out okay Chris, thank you. Doesn't it Heather, I can see me painting lots of blue pots! Many thanks Rachel, I like this kind of magic. lol Im afraid its gone from this world Stephen, thank you very much. The pot is currently stuck to an old T towel and kitchen paper but I may have another go at it. Many thanks for your comment David.

16”x12” oil on gessoed paper. It must be winter, I’ve blown the dust off the oils! I thought, I’ll do a still life to get a feel for the paint again. My subject, a lovely 70’s style blue pot which I spent a whole £3 on, from the first stroke of paint, it was doomed! I scraped and rubbed the paint off and suddenly……there was the beginnings of a landscape. You could say it painted itself.
