My £3 Pot……reincarnated

Comments

I must try self painting, Fiona! I like the painting a lot!!

What a great Still Life Fiona! Magic has happened!

Ps. I must try this method!

Some times it just happens for no reason and you have yourself a little something that just becomes a lovely work of art. Like this Fiona.

How funny ... the blue pot looks amazing!

Oh my goodness- Fiona that’s magic🌻🧚‍♂️

Can't see the pot , but the landscape is lovely ☺️

I was looking for the pot Fiona! It really is reincarnated into a landscape. I would still be interested to see what the pot looks like.

It was hardly any effort at all David, thank you for your comment. Marjorie, I wish it were this easy every time I put paint to canvas...thank you. Sometimes it works out okay Chris, thank you. Doesn't it Heather, I can see me painting lots of blue pots! Many thanks Rachel, I like this kind of magic. lol Im afraid its gone from this world Stephen, thank you very much. The pot is currently stuck to an old T towel and kitchen paper but I may have another go at it. Many thanks for your comment David.

lovely original painting love all the textures Fiona

Well that’s a very unusual pot Fiona, but a lovely landscape! Love the use of yellow and greys together.

It's turned out wonderfully Fiona.

That’s worked out so well, funny how these things happen. The skill I think is in the spotting the potential whilst scraping or washing off the offending failure 😊

What a great idea and a magical landscape presentation.

Brilliant result Fiona.

Excellent work Fiona, simple composition and the darker mass is just perfectly placed!

Love the freedom of your work Fiona.

Super colours for your happy accident!

Pots of painting magic! You are very artistic Fiona.

Amazing result Fiona. Well worth framing and hanging.

Well Fiona as a pot it’s rubbish I’m afraid , but it’s certainly a excellent landscape .

Well painted Fiona - I love the colours and the way this happened!

Great bit of diagnostic painting with super result Fiona.

For starting as a blue pot this has turned out so well Fiona

Thank you everyone for your humours comments and endless support, not to mention putting up with my silliness! Thanks 🙏

Thanks Thalia!

I do like the way it has turned out Fiona, lovely colours in the foreground.

I love the way paintings offer such transformation!

Hilary, thank you very much for your wonderful feedback. I’ll take that as a compliment Diane…… coming from the master of transformation, with your intuitive style of art. Thank you x

A bit of serendipity, Fiona - it has worked out well. Love the yellowy gold colours.

Yes Jenny, sometimes something positive comes from mistakes. Thank you very much.

And a stunning landscape to boot! Superb bushwork, textures and atmosphere, Fiona!

Thank you so much Seok! 🙏

16”x12” oil on gessoed paper. It must be winter, I’ve blown the dust off the oils! I thought, I’ll do a still life to get a feel for the paint again. My subject, a lovely 70’s style blue pot which I spent a whole £3 on, from the first stroke of paint, it was doomed! I scraped and rubbed the paint off and suddenly……there was the beginnings of a landscape. You could say it painted itself.
