You’re doing well Fiona. With your talent you will be turning the m out wholesale in no time. I do feel that portraits are great for teaching acute observation and capturing the soul of a painting.

Judging on all your other stuff, I'm sure you will be fine! This looks like a good start in doing faces. I look forward to seeing your self-portrait in due course (you might even encourage me to do another one - none of the ones I've done so far - not many- have been posted here!!!) Margaret thank you. I’m finding it very difficult I have to say, not so much the components of the face but getting it to look like me! Lol started the first portrait in oils last Tuesday and I can tell you, it’s scary, something for Halloween.
