Love it Fiona, really great colour choice,

Wow Fiona, fire in the sky! Looks wonderful and I like the trees very much.

The colours are great Fiona its certainly got the WOW factor, keep taking the medicine LOL

Sizzling Fiona!I can still see you in this, its the trees.

I love this Fiona, it really does have the wow factor

It’s very good Fiona just be careful with that Absinthe it can be deadly but if it works!!!

Fiona if you do not win a prize with this Van Gogh I will personally send you a box of paints, minus the VIRIDIAN green of course. If you have done more please lets see them. It is Van Goghy for sure. The trees are, Van Ghoghy and the hills. Take a look at his brush marks but don’t touch the Absinthe. Lol

Very beautiful work, Fiona, and great Van Gogh-like style.

Lol .....many thanks David, Margaret, Linda, Marjorie (how are you) Karen, Barry, John (you're on, minus the Viridian though. This is the first, I'm working on an idea for the next one John) and Cesare. You have made my day! I floated away somewhere doing all the separate brush strokes, very therapeutic.......nothing to do with the Absinthe, honest! 🤢

Like this very much- effective work

It's in your face Fiona. Love it. I am struggling with that same comp .

Wow, Fiona. Fantastic colours.

There's not much left to say apart from WOW. It has certainly brightened up a very grey Saturday morning. Can't wait to see the next Van Gogh.

You do need the full bottle F to get into the spirit of things... So, is it a van Gogh?, well, it has some good points and lovely brush strokes etc. Remember that he went over the top colour wise so I would have added some sienna's and whatever was on my palette to spice up those trees and mountains but a splendid first go.

Thank you very much Maureen, Peter, Sylvia (you can do it gal!) Ellen, Carol and Alan for your constructive feedback. Alan, it's not quite there is it, hopefully I'll get to the bottom of the bottle and see if that improves my perception. Thank you x

His Willows at Sunset had similar colour trees so stick with it Fiona.

Superb Fiona great techniques

Thank you very much Dennis....lovely to see you back.

Thank you Gudrun, that’s very kind of you to say so.

11x9in oil on board. I did this scene a few years ago in watercolour but instead of the the two willows on the opposite bank there was a gate. I've gone for the full throttle orange and yellow thing with this one, I don't think it's very Van Gogh-ish to be honest. Next one I will try before the half bottle of Absinthe !
