Thanks everyone! There is lots wrong with this I’m afraid but as long as there is a bit of swing! I expect the normal footwear would have been clogs of some kind.

Nicely drawn, but I am not entirely sure how I feel about rough paper on pencil drawings, personally I have found it a bit of a wind up. It does kind of suit this though so maybe its down to style.

I totally agree with the others, Fiona. You have a great drawing here with the cleeking and swinging William. What does 'cleeking' mean? LOL. Great movement and concentration. I half expect to see a beer perched on a small table just within reach. Great suggestive study. Brian

Pencil sketch, 4b&6b. Carrying on with the Gypsy theme, this is William Marshall who was known as King of the local gypsy community. I will probably have a go at a monoprint of this auld character.
