LOOKS GREAT I HAVE NO IDEA HOW A MONOPRINT IS DONE BUT I AM VERY INTERSTED

I don't know anything about this Fiona but knowing you it will be a triumph!

No ideas Fiona, never done it but I bet it'll be good!

Looking forward to the final result.

I'll ditto that. Looking forward to the final result. This has real character. Brian

Yes it looks as if we are all in the dark, but looking forward to seeing the result when you can reveal all to us.

Nearly missed this. Great to seen the initial stage of this strange monoprint business. Watching with interest.

Looks good to me Fiona just the way it is 😀

Sos, can't help with this as I'm clueless as to the technique. I imagine that the mono print will be a lot darker so the fiddly bits will be blanked out. I think you'll do it!

Pare down the marks perhaps. Are you using a block or are you making marks on your plate?

It’s really good Fiona and all like most have not a clue about monoprinting

Thanks very much all for your input, trying to figure out the best way to go about it at the moment.....it will probably end in tears! Lol Gudrun I’ll be doing it on a plate, it’s thinking about the different tones and strength of ink, as well as the added colours.

A4 black and red China graph, bit of oil pastel and graphite on paper. Next stage on from the Gypsy pencil sketches for a final mono print. Disappointed that I haven’t managed to reduce the content of the image more......must stop fiddling. Any ideas to get an even more basic image?
