This is wonderful Fiona. Love how you have painted the diamond panes so successfully and those lovely warm yellow ochres in the brick work. Love everything about this.

Nice idea Fiona. Fires the imagination...

You've a beautiful colour combination with this one Fiona-I love the Ochre against the blue-Its so striking. Beautiful-

Like...like a lot Fiona.

Thank you so much Carole, Jim, Rachel, Sylvia for you lovely compliments, I appreciate them greatly.

Some lovely wet in wet washes Fiona, the colours look good to me.

Something about this makes my mouth water 😊

Now then… what a gorgeous window and a great find … perfect material for sketch book work and nicely drawn!

Very, very nice indeed

A lovely old thing to catch your eye Fiona.

Interesting subject, and lovely colours.

Lovely Fiona.

Lovely sketch Fiona. Looks like a rectangular eye

Like the looseness of your painting, Fiona, and the intriguing title. I'm sure a few of us would like that journey.

I love window and door paintings Fiona and this is perfect.

Lovely picture Fiona.

Beautifully painted Fiona, love the colours

Thank you ever so much, Carole, Russell, Thalia, John, Alan, Heather, Marjorie, Jenny, Denise, Martin, Carol, Shaun, Stephen, Cheryl......for your much appreciated kind words and continued encouragement.

I love your loose version of that window Fiona. I've painted the palace a few times but mine are boring compared to your lively version and isn't the ochre colour stunning? Stirling Castle is the same but more mellowed.

Val the colour of the Palace is fabulous, and I haven’t got anything in my paint box that comes anywhere near it. Such wonderful architecture in the whole village, I took photos of the cottages going up to the Abbey…..saving them for the winter when I can’t get out! Stirling castle and the prison is on my list. Thank you very much for your feedback.

This is so lovely Fiona. The way you’ve captured the hint of light on the latticed window and defined the brickwork so loosely is wonderful!

Beautifully painted and I love your colour palette

I really like this Fiona.

Sketchbook, watercolour and ink of a 16th century window of Culross Palace. Culross Palace is on the opposite bank of the posting I posted yesterday of Grangemouth, Firth of Fourth. A bit of beauty to balance the beast of Grangemouth.....I couldn't quite replicate the wonderful ochre colours of the harling.
