I turned it upside down again, and for me it’s got wow super.

Yes, Fiona, even upside down it is brilliant. Beautiful strong colours.

Fiona Miro....a wonderful abstract. Really like this.

A super abstract, Fiona - great colours, it has a 3D feel in places - would also look good in portrait (with the 'snake' on the right). (And a useful tip for rolling out the linocut inks!)

Three abstracts on the same page - the next "thing"! Really really like this Fiona, the colours and the markmaking.

That’s a nice surprise, I thought you would consider this as a bit of silliness. I was certainly being silly when I did it! I’m really glad you like it. Thank you John, I’ve turned this one all ways. I actually did it just as Jenny has said, in portrait with the long squiggle top to bottom down the right hand side. Thank you Mia, Andre (Miro?) off to look that name up. Jenny and Marjorie for your lovely feedback. I have another! On no I hear you say! Lol

I like it Fiona and I like the tips with the inks as I am about to embark on my first linocut.

It's great Fiona. I love it when you're an adventurist.

Good for you Adele, you will enjoy it I’m sure. I use the glossy photo paper for rolling (on the glossy side) and on an A4 sheet you can fit at least 3 separate runs of ink, depending on the size of the roller you’re using of course. It doesn’t stick once you’ve got the ink moving. Thank you for your lovely comment, and don’t forget to post your prints! Don’t forget they are not meant to look perfect, I prefer the rustic look.

Thank you Michael....one day I’m going to take an adventure into portraits...yikes! I like the way you create your characters.

Who's a clever girl then. Ha ha many strings to your bow. It would look fab in any modern apartment. What next I wonder?

Lol...don’t tell anyone Dennis but I was just cleaning off my roller on a scrap piece of paper. I drew the squiggles with a feather from one of my hens....but the genius bit, the circles, I did those with one of the felt pads you put on the bottom of chair legs that stop them scratching the floor. This may be the one that makes me famous Dennis! Thank you very much. X

Again, I do like the lines which seem to bring it all together. Nice!

Fiona, Joan Miro was a artist and sculptor based in Barcelona, where there is a museum dedicated to him, his works can be found all over Barcelona , and have a resemblance to your work . Worth a look.

Like it but will never get round to trying it

Great abstract Fiona.

Lovely things happening Fiona

Those blue doors get everywhere Fiona don't they? LOL. I particularly like this -is there anything in art that you won't try? using the hen feather for the squiggly lines is brilliant.

Thanks Louise, I think you and I have a thing about lines. Hi Andre, thank you for that info. I did look him up after your first comment, I can see a similarity in some of his pieces. He likes his bright primaries doesn’t he! Many thanks Derek, Sandra, Dennis. Don’t they Carol! I’m about at my limit with blue doors now though, just finished the final one...I think. Will send you a preview. Thanks very much for your comment Carol.

Thank you Gudrun.

A4 printing ink on Matt photo paper. When I’m using different coloured printing inks for linocuts I use a pieces of photographic paper to roll the ink on. This saves me having to clean off my inking plate every time I want to change the colour of ink. When I’ve finished I burn the paper so no cleaning up to do except my roller. Using up the left over ink on the roller I did this, added a couple of squiggles here and there....could be the blue doors! If you look really hard and use lots and lots of imagination!lol
