You are right, this one looks better. Lovely watercolour

This one looks better Fiona more tranquill---Y OU are gettingto good

I agree with Petra and Charles: this one is better. I like your delicate colours and the fact that there is no horizon line. Well done!

Well for what its worth I like this one Fiona, a beautiful quiet painting.

I think this is the better version as in the other one the clouds tend to look as if they are in a band across the sky. Cropping the top stops this happening. It is a super, peaceful and attractive painting. Love the glassy water and shadows.

Many thanks for all your comments, and thanks for your advise.

Hi, Fiona, this is good. Like Kirstie, I did not see the first issue but I certainly like this one. Mia beat me to the punch re the lost horizon; it adds to the tranquility of the scene. But you know me, picky to the end.....I think the reflections of the right hand barge are a little too strong. Nonetheless, I like this painting. May I say, well done!

Thank you Kirstie and Lionel. Version one was the same picture, the only difference was more sky and more foreground. I cropped it to this version because I made a mess of the original sky and rather than start over again I added another cloud layer on top. I know it's lazy but I hate waste. Thank you Lionel for pointing out the strong reflection, you're right it is much too strong....I was hoping you wouldn't notice.lol Thanks again.

Never saw version one but I absolutely love version two.

Absolutely lovely

Thank you Val, thank you Lesley. Your comments are very much appreciated.

I think It would look better if you Knocked out the Left hand boat.Personally there is not enough tonal difference with the two,I know sod all but I would kick the left one into touch,.Barry L Hanson

I have cropped the picture a little more to cut out the sky mistake.....don't know if it's an improvement, or a back to the drawing board situation. Comments most welcome.
