Snow, Glorious Snow……

Like this a lot Fiona it’s really beautifully painted.

This is fab, Fiona!!

Blimey that was quick…….Paul and David, thank you. Hope I didn’t give the impression that we’ve had a snow fall. Wouldn’t want you to be jealous….lol. Although, it’s turned cold here, the temperature went down to minus one last night……frost this morning.

This is so dynamic and the colours full of life 👏🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👏🏼

Glorious indeed. Lovely work.

Love the sky and colours of the foliage…great job Fiona!

There’s a warm light to this snow, lovely!

Lovely work as ever Fiona.

Love this Fiona. I really like the colours you’ve used.

Very spontaneous Fiona and full of movement.

I suppose we all like painting snow scenes? Certainly I do, but I'm not so keen on slipping over in it and breaking my wrist, as I did last time we had a heavy fall. Still - it would make a welcome change from the rain and wind that's been lashing at us over the last couple of days on the Isle of Wight (and probably in many other places). Your painting reminds me of some of the more free work of H B Brabazon.

It's interesting art, because of colours you've chosen, and I like the sky colour in here too.

I always secretly hope for snow Fiona, and we had some around this time last year (my sister's dog's birthday in fact, which is why i recall the time), so I love your lively interpretation.!

Loose and effective Fiona and good to see you using oil pastels.

Has a lovely quality to it.

I like the loose energy of this Fiona. Thankfully no snow here yet this year. Normally I like to see some but with the price of heating now, maybe not!

Lovely colours, Fiona. Do like a snow scene.

Love that snow filled sky, well done.

This is lovely, Fiona. A lovely Christmas card to receive.

Wild weather very effectively portrayed here - good subtle colours!

Many thanks to you lovely people for your more than generous comments, always appreciated.

Oh no, not yet please, though it has turned suddenly much colder here after all the rain. Great sky and would make a lovely Christmas card.

Thanks Val. No not yet it was me being fanciful….although it’s been bitter today. We’ve had a Har over the water most of the day which is proper November weather.

Lovely loose style, like it a lot.

Valerie, thank you very much for your kind comment.

Super stuff, Fiona!

This splendid work represents nicely the meteorological possibilities of the frozen north Fiona.

Thanks very much Thalia! Michael, it ffffeeels liiiike thhhhe frrrrozzzen nooorth ! I’m not sure if the 100 miles move north is going to suit my sensitive and delicate disposition! Thank you for your comment.

Lovely and atmospheric snow scene Fiona.

I’m practicing David, hope we get a bit this winter…..thank you very much.

Watercolour and oil pastel in sketchbook. No, we haven’t had any yet, well only in my head. I’m working on a few Christmas card ideas (late as usual) my printer said I’ve got time! A local scene converted in to a snowy landscape.
