Lovely work Fiona a delightful little ink painting, well done .

Nice ink painting Fiona, simple but effective composition, like this piece .

Lovely, Fiona, great composition, and the inks work really well together. (I've also used Quink quite a lot, and love the colours and effects you get with it.)

I like this one a lot, those trees are the best I've seen in ink, well done.

A smashing little piece Fiona, reminds me of the one and only one I did in black ink. I really I've the different tonal values you have used, they really give feeling to the picture and as ever the line work is the strength and structure that tells the tale, nice one.

Dennis, Graham, Jenny, Alan, Malcolm and Dennis.......I'm glad you like it and thank you very much. I really don't like the large tree on the left, I wish I had just done one the same as the ones on the right....next time...lol

Lovely Fiona, this really works well,

Fiona, I actually like the large tree , I think because it is at the back and on the opposing side to the three large foreground trees I think it anchors and balances the picture nicely and its bulk to me is visually reduced, but that is me, .

Lovely ink painting, Fiona, I like too ink washes.

Fiona beautiful and effective love it.

This is a smashing drawing Fiona! It's very solid and down to earth with those straight trees and the house with one opening. I wonder what's it's for or has been before. It's like hidden in the woods, mysterious.

Interesting.....

Love the sepia tones in this Fiona, it's an excellent little sketch.

lovely sketch Fiona your trees are excellent love those broken lines they create texture David Harrison

Really appealing Fiona, never used Quink.

Funny, like Malcolm, I like the tree on the left and the different ones to the right. It makes it more interesting that they are different. Sepia effect is nice too.

A little beauty! I like the restricted use of colours.

Fiona, just read your comment re the tree on the left. I really like that one, it provides a good balance and contrast to those on the right, and I think it's what makes the composition so attractive.

Thank you Michael, David.......Malcolm, I've cropped quite a bit off the left and top side of this to try and reduce the bulk of the tree. I thought it took over the painting too much.....thank you very much for your observations, I appreciate them.

Thanks very much everyone for your comments, I like to receive your varied feedback.

Very nice indeed and last time I used quink ( great name ) I was a mere child 😊 Lovely stuff Fiona keep it up

I do like ink work sooooo satisfying... Nice fiona..

You could be a child again Dermot...lol Thank you. Thanks very much Alan, not colourful like yours!!

This is superb, Fiona - I really love the lively lines and the varied textures. Excellent, excellent work!

16"x12" Quink ink, Indian ink and a splash of red watercolour on the door, on Arches. I love the way Quink ink runs and splits when water is added.
